NFL Commissioner Says League Will Continue Diversity Policies Despite Trump’s Efforts To End DEI Initiatives
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has announced that the league will not support President Trump’s nationwide call to end DEI initiatives.
When asked about the issue in a recent interview, he stated:
“We’re not in this because it’s a trend. It’s about attracting the best talents… I think we’ll continue those efforts.”

Goodell’s stance on maintaining Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices has reportedly sparked mixed reactions among NFL fans. While some praised his commitment, others threatened to stop watching games if the league continues its DEI efforts.
His decision stands in contrast to many major corporations—including Meta, Target, Walmart, and Amazon—which have announced plans to scale back or eliminate DEI hiring practices altogether.
