Michael Jordan Opens 4th Free Medical Clinic In North Carolina, Hopes To ‘Leave A Lasting Mark,’ Source Says
Michael Jordan is expanding his free clinic mission.
The six-time NBA champion just opened his fourth free medical clinic in North Carolina. The facility includes 12 patient rooms and provides care for uninsured families.
“This cause is personal to me,” Jordan said in a statement.
“Returning to Wilmington (his hometown) last year to mark the opening of our first clinic was incredibly moving, and it reinforced the importance that I put on having quality health care available in the community.”

A source told In Touch that the basketball legend,
“has a vision to expand across the country. He wants to leave a lasting mark with his legacy that’s about more than just basketball. Michael is not doing this for publicity or some sort of tax break—this is something he genuinely cares about.”
