Joe Biden Says He Would’ve Won Presidential Election Against Donald Trump, Blames Sexist Attacks For Kamala Harris’ Defeat

Former President Joe Biden is standing firm on his belief that he would have beaten Donald Trump if he hadn’t stepped aside in last year’s presidential election.

During a newly aired guest appearance on The View, Biden shared that he still believes he would’ve defeated Trump had he remained the Democratic nominee. He emphasized that the battleground states Trump won, like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, were decided by relatively narrow margins, pointing out that millions of voters sat the election out entirely.

As many recall, growing concerns over Biden’s cognitive health fueled pressure from within the Democratic Party for him to bow out. That led to then-Vice President Kamala Harris taking over the ticket.

When asked about her defeat, Biden admitted he wasn’t surprised by the result, citing the intense wave of sexist attacks Harris faced throughout her campaign. He stressed that while she is more than qualified to lead, the sustained targeting took a toll on her public image and chances of winning.

Despite his many controversies, Trump returned to the presidency, winning the Electoral College 312 to 226 and edging Harris in the popular vote by just over 2 million.

Do you agree with Biden’s take on the 2024 election outcome?
