Prosecutors Warn Kim Porter’s Death Could Be Used To Garner Sympathy For Diddy In Ongoing Sex Trafficking Trial

As Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial continues, prosecutors have raised concerns that his legal team may use the memory of his late ex-girlfriend and mother of 3 of his kids, Kim Porter, to draw sympathy from jurors.

Ahead of proceedings resuming today (May 21), prosecutors argued that Diddy’s attorneys could bring up Porter’s 2018 death from pneumonia complications to gain juror sympathy. They warned the judge, saying:

“We are concerned that Ms. Porter’s death may be used to build sympathy for Mr. Combs, and lead jurors to believe that if he is convicted, his children may…”

The judge has not yet ruled on whether Porter’s death can be referenced during the trial.

Diddy is facing serious federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution. He’s pleaded not guilty and faces up to life in prison if convicted.

Do you think prosecution may have a point?
