Akon’s Wife Amirah Iman-Thiam Sues Publix Super Markets For $4 Million, Claims Employee S*xually Violated Her While She Was Standing In An Aisle
Amirah Iman-Thiam, one of Akon’s nine wives, is suing Publi Super Markets for an alleged s*xual ass*ult by a male employee.
According to court documents obtained by All Hip-Hop, stock clerk Jonathan Ross approached Amirah Iman-Thiam in September 2022 at a Roswell, Georgia store, made an inappropriate comment, then allegedly groped her. “He just… violated me,” she tearfully told police, according to bodycam footage. Ross later confessed and was convicted of s*xual b*ttery.
The incident forced Amirah Iman-Thiam, a musician, to cancel a $4 million international tour, citing lasting trauma, cultural and religious violations, and emotional distress. “My creativity’s gone,” she told her therapist.
Publix attempted to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing Ross acted independently. But Iman-Thiam’s lawyers presented evidence of the company’s lack of harassment protocols and cited 19 similar incidents since 2020. The suit accuses Publix of turning its stores into “hunting grounds” and seeks punitive damages for negligence.
