‘The Chi’ Officially Renewed For Season 8

The Chi is officially coming back for an eighth season!

Paramount+ with Showtime confirmed the renewal following a strong Season 7 premiere. Reports say the latest season, which debuted earlier this month, pulled in 2 million viewers across platforms in its first week, marking the series’ most-streamed opener to date.

Created by Lena Waithe, The Chi follows the interconnected lives of South Side Chicago residents as they navigate love, loyalty, and redemption.

The show stars Lynn Whitfield, Jacob Latimore, Yolonda Ross, Michael V. Epps, Shamon Brown Jr., Birgundi Baker, and Luke James. New episodes are currently dropping every Friday on Paramount+ with Showtime.
