Conspiracy Theorist Alex Jones Accused Of Hiding Millions From Sandy Hook Families After $1.3 Billion Defamation Judgment
Alex Jones is facing new legal trouble as a bankruptcy trustee accuses him of fraudulently moving millions in assets to his family to avoid paying the $1.3 billion he owes the families of Sandy Hook victims.
U.S. bankruptcy trustee Christopher Murray filed three lawsuits alleging Jones transferred over $5 million in cash, cars, and property to his father, ex-wife, and a trust for his children. The alleged transactions include $1.5 million in cash to his ex-wife under a prenup that Murray says was never ratified, and selling part of a Texas ranch to his father for just $10.

Murray claims: “[Jones] understood he was facing massive liabilities,” adding that the moves had the “classic hallmarks… of actual fraudulent intent.”
Attorney Chris Mattei, who represents the victims’ families, said:
“Alex Jones’s entire career has been built on lies so it is no surprise he would lie to hide his assets. He won’t get away with it. The families we represent are as determined as ever to enforce the jury’s verdict and he will never outrun it.”
As you may recall, in December 2012, a mass shooting occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. 26 people, 20 of whom were children as young as six, were fatally shot by Adam Lanza. Following the tragic event, Jones was eventually sued for “willful and malicious campaign of defamation and lies against the families” of the deceased children and teachers. He was ultimately found liable for defamation but spent years claiming he was broke.
