NBA Star James Harden Accused Of Negligence In Sexual Assault Lawsuit Involving His Nephew, Woman Says His Security Failed To Intervene
James Harden is facing some serious accusations.
The NBA star has been named in a lawsuit accusing him of negligence after a woman says she was sexually assaulted at his New Year’s Eve party.
Marisa Watley filed the complaint, claiming she and two friends went to Harden’s mansion party after seeing him in a club’s VIP area. At the house, Harden’s nephew, Justice Armani Blackburn, allegedly gave the women drinks that caused them to pass out. Watley says she later woke up to find Blackburn sexually assaulting her.

The suit also alleges that Harden’s security guards were aware the women were intoxicated and passed out but failed to intervene. It holds Harden “vicariously liable for the actions of his guards and their corporate employer.”
Watley now reportedly speaks with a heavy stutter due to trauma from the assault. She is seeking more than $100,000 in damages.
