Suspect Arrested in Deadly Shooting That Left Rapper Sayso P Dead and Sauce Walka Injured in Memphis
Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service have taken into custody a 23-year-old man in Tennessee who is alleged to have been involved in a shooting that left rapper Sauce Walka injured and fellow rapper Sayso P dead.
The incident occurred in March in Memphis, where Sayso P was shot and fatally wounded, while Sauce Walka sustained injuries but survived. According to law enforcement, the attack was not random: initial findings suggest the victims and suspects were acquainted.
The arrested individual is charged with first-degree murder, multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder, using a firearm during a serious felony, and theft of property. One other person, previously named as a suspect in the case, was later found dead in Houston.
Authorities are treating the event as a targeted shooting rather than a random act of violence, and are continuing their investigation into any additional suspects and the full circumstances.
