Meek Mill Not Here For Streamers ‘Swaying Narratives’ On Behalf Of Artists: The Fake Schemes Are Fading
Now, y’all know if it’s something on #MeekMill’s chest, he’s going to get it off!
The rapper recently called out artists who rely on streamers to push certain “narratives” around their music. Sharing his thoughts on X, Meek wrote, “This the last year smoking mirror artist will make more money than the real artist!” He added, “The fake schemes are fading and the people not believing ramdoms streamers swaying narratives for money and views! It’s no way they will be able to keep up!”
Although #Meek didn’t name anyone directly, there’s no shortage of guesses about who his comments could be aimed at. It’s become common for streamers to live-react to new albums, invite artists onto their platforms, or heavily praise and critique projects in real time. Still, conversations have been bubbling about whether some creators are abusing their influence, with claims of paid reviews and industry-driven bias picking up steam.
What do you think? Should there be clearer boundaries between online streamers and the music industry?
