Drake & Streamer Adin Ross Face New Federal Lawsuit + Plaintiffs Say Fans Were Misled Into Illegal Gambling
A fresh legal battle is brewing for Drake and Adin Ross as their ties to online casino platform Stake face renewed scrutiny in court.
According to court documents, a federal class-action lawsuit was filed in Virginia on Wednesday,
December 31, accusing Stake of operating as “one of the largest and most profitable illegal online casinos” since at least 2022. Plaintiffs LaShawnna Ridley and Tiffany Hines allege the platform misleads users by disguising real-money gambling as virtual currency play.
The complaint points to Stake’s claims that it does “not offer real money gambling,” that “no purchase or payment is necessary,” and that it provides “the ultimate social, safe and free gaming experience,” arguing those statements are false. Users allegedly must buy Gold Coins bundled with Stake Cash, which can be cashed out one-to-one for U.S. dollars.
Drake and Ross are described as “zealous” and “paid” promoters who allegedly masked the platform’s true nature. The lawsuit claims the pair engaged in live-streamed gambling with funds secretly supplied by Stake.
A similar suit was filed in October 2025, which seems to be ongoing.
