Boosie Avoids Prison After Judge Sentences Him to Time Served
Rapper Boosie Badazz just caught a major legal break. According to court updates shared by legal reporter Meghann Cuniff, a federal judge in San Diego sentenced Boosie to time served, meaning he will not be heading back to prison.
Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo handed down the sentence on Tuesday morning, also ordering three years of supervised release. The ruling effectively closes the door on the possibility of additional jail time tied to this case.
The decision is significant given Boosie’s recent legal maneuvering, including his push for a wartime presidential pardon — a move that raised eyebrows and sparked online debate. Even without that pardon, today’s sentencing ensures he will remain free.
As previously reported, the case stemmed from federal charges connected to firearm possession, a serious matter given Boosie’s prior felony record. The outcome, however, marks a far more favorable resolution than many legal analysts expected.
For now, Boosie walks away from court a free man — albeit under supervision — while fans and critics alike react to yet another dramatic chapter in the rapper’s long-running legal saga.
