Nicki Minaj Pledges Over $100K To Support Trump Initiative Helping Fans Open Newborn Investment Accounts
Nicki Minaj has reportedly teamed up with President Trump for a new project.
The New York Post reports that #NickiMinaj is pledging a significant amount of money, between $150,000 and $300,000, to help fans’ newborns open investment accounts under a new program launched by the Trump administration for children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. The initiative, known as “Trump Accounts,” provides every eligible child with a $1,000 tax-deferred investment from the Treasury, with parents and employers able to contribute more each year until the child reaches age 18. While Nicki is expected to formally announce her contribution at a summit with #Trump and senior officials later today (Jan. 28), the #WhiteHouse appears to have already confirmed the news. The administration shared an article about her anticipated pledge on its social media accounts, captioning the post, “Barbz babies getting the bag.”
Speaking to The Post, Nicki said she wants to support her fans, famously known as the “Barbz,” and give families a stronger financial start. “I absolutely love my #Barbz. I want to see them bring healthy, and successful children into the world.” Nicki added, “I know raising a child can be expensive and challenging at times, so I’m committed to doing whatever I can to support them.” She believes the program can help close economic gaps and boost financial literacy, especially in urban communities.
