President Donald Trump Fires Attorney General Pam Bondi
#PresidentTrump has fired Attorney General Pam Bondi, ending her tenure as the nation’s top law enforcement official. Trump confirmed the decision in a post on Truth Social, calling Bondi a “Great American Patriot and a loyal friend” and saying she “faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year.” He announced that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche would take over as acting attorney general while a permanent replacement is selected.
Bondi’s dismissal comes amid reported growing frustration within the administration over her performance, particularly her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and what some saw as a lack of aggressive prosecutions of Trump’s political opponents. However, in his Truth Social message, Trump added, “We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector.”
#PamBondi’s departure marks a significant shift at the Department of Justice and continues a series of high-profile personnel changes in Trump’s second term.
