[WATCH] Teaser of ‘Preachers of LA’ Hits + Pastors Expose Personal Flaws, Romantic Relationships & Prosperity
Last month, we shared news that had saints and sinners torn–reality TV was taking its talent into the pulpit. Oxygen has created a new reality show (or ‘docu-series’) called ‘Pastors of LA’.
The show will give a detailed look inside of the lives of well-known church leaders and pastors, with congregations in Los Angeles. Cast members include: Bishop Noel Jones (of the ‘City of Refuge’), Deitrick Haddon (gospel singer), Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Wayne Chaney, Bishop Ron Gibson and Pastor Jay Haizlip.
Holly Carter, the executive producer of the show explained:
This show documents a journey of transparency from one man to the next as they endeavor to lead others to their own truth and self-discovery. It’s a dose of reality and a pound of redemption coming from a creative team reared in the church.
And this week, the official promo was released, showing that cameras will show the romantic lives of these men of the cloth, along with the challenges of Christian leadership. Some of my favorite quotables are:
‘Maybe I don’t love you as much as you love me?’ -Bishop Noel Jones
‘P.Diddy, Jay-Z, they aren’t the only ones that should be driving Ferraris’
‘Being a pastor is very dangerous because you have to be perfect at all times.’
‘The truth about my baby outta wedlock. The truth about my divorce. I’m a pastor, but at the end of the day, I’m a man.’ -Deitrick Haddon.
Check the teaser below:
The show airs this fall on Oxygen. What are your thoughts about the upcoming show? Could this be helpful for Christians or harmful?

I’m really trying not to judge.
I feel you Keesha….I am trying not either BUT it is hard!
I’m not quite sure if the Christian world is ready for this kind of transparency. We are the most critical, least open minded and less forgiving. Lets hope our relationship is built on God and not man, after viewing this clip
…only confidence in Man; but “FAITH” in GOD.
