Lupita Nyong’o Named PEOPLE’s Most Beautiful

Hands down, this is Lupita Nyong’o’s year! The 31-year-old Oscar winner has been named “Most Beautiful” by People Magazine. While gracing the cover of their new issue she beamed:

It was exciting and just a major, major compliment. I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen.

The accomplishments for this Mexico born, Kenya raised star are endless. Earlier this year, she won an Oscar for playing the slave Patsey in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave. More recently, she landed a contract with Lancome Paris.

Lupita says she “never dreamed” she would be touted as “Most Beautiful” for all the world to see. She explains:
