(EXCLUSIVE) Retired NFL Star Ray Lewis Blamed By Bank For Millions Lost in Investments
theJasmineBRAND.com has exclusively learned retired NFL star Ray Lewis and 15 other players are solely to blame for them losing a combined total of $52 million dollars of their own money — so says the bank who is firing back at their legal battle, saying the men should have checked their bank statements more often.
The 39-year-old retired NFL’er, along with 15 current and former NFL players – including Santonio Holmes, Brandon Meriweather and Frank Gore – filed a $52 million dollar federal lawsuit against North Carolina based bank BB&T last year. They alleged that the bank allowed their former financial adviser Jeff Rubin and other employees at Pro Sports Financial to open accounts in their names, along with putting millions of dollars of their money into investments they never knew about.
What’s more? According to the lawsuit, the NFL stars claimed that he former financial adviser to the NFL players – Jeff Rubin – was banned from ever working in the finance industry back in 2012, after it was allegedly discovered that he was advising his clients to invest in illegal projects.
