(EXCLUSIVE) Jay Z Refuses to Hand Over Personal Cell Phones to Man Suing Him for $10 Million Dollars
Jay Z is refusing to hand over his personal cell phones, laptop and email records and now the man suing the music mogul for $10 million dollars has headed to court to get the judge to order the rapper to hand over the devices ASAP — theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports.
A man named Dwayne Walker reportedly filed a federal lawsuit against Jay Z and Damon Dash claiming he created the Roc-A-Fella logo and was owed $7 million dollars in royalties for his design.
Jay Z responded, claiming the legal battle is ill-found. He filed a declaration in the case stating he doesn’t even have recollection of meeting Walker.
He explained he doesn’t believe Walker and his claim in the lawsuit that he signed a contract that would award him millions in royalties, because he says that is simply not something he would approve for Roc-A-Fella.
Jay also pleaded with the court to not force him to sit down for a deposition where he would be grilled about the allegations in the lawsuit. The rapper/music moguel claimed he knew nothing about the accusations and accused Walker of only demanding one to attempt and harass him into a settlement.
Then on February 24th, Walker filed docs in the case demanding the court order the rapper to hand over all personal cell phones and tablets. He explains that Jay Z has refused to give him any of the devices to search for documents or evidence proving his case.
