The once quiet Future is quite the chatter box these days. Being that he was quiet in regards to his break up with Ciara, the media has spun their break up into various stories with most beginning and ending with cheating. However, in a new and candid sit down with Marc Lamont Hill for Huff Post Live, the rapper told his side of the story and it is less cheating and more differing opinions in life as to why the two didn’t work out.
Ci’s baby father said cheating was never a reason as to why they broke up and that the engagement was called off well before any cheating rumors.
Everybody already had their speculations. I see a lot of people say he cheated, he cheated. Because, I feel like, 95 percent of relationships end with cheating. But me and her relationship had nothing to do with cheating. I feel like we were just growing away from each other and we grew apart. And it’s just so much dealing with–when you’re in a relationship and you the man and you want to make certain decisions for yourself and she want to make certain decisions. And I feel like the best route for me is to make more music, to go back to Atlanta, to go back to my roots, for my family. Like when you a man you want to make decisions for your family, sometimes the lady don’t see what you see. The engagement had been called off. I called it off way before any cheating rumors.

It seem as though CiCi was “Caught UP” with making wedding plans and involving “The Hollyweird Crowd” and Future didn’t want any part of that nonsense in the “Beginning Of The Process”….CiCi need to chill out and let things happen naturally, and stop trying to complete with “Kim K. and LaLa”….#Truth
I agree with you on that. Those were my thoughts after listening to the interview. Also, I think it was good to hear him speak on this. I would say it’s usually best for celebs to keep relationship issues private, but the media painted him as the bad guy in this situation without knowing the facts. We still don’t know all the facts, but I think this helped a lot of folks not look at him so negatively. Not saying he’s a good guy, but I definitely think he seems genuine, and what he and Ciara once shared was real. Too bad it didn’t work out, but both seem happy now!
He would’ve appeared more “genuine” if it wasn’t for the passive aggressive comments (Down low shade.). He didn’t want to “embarrass her”, ” him wanting everyone to know “he called off the engagement”, not her. All the while stating she never spoke on it, but now he feels compelled to tell his so-called truth. He’s a typical hood dude, that doesn’t have any morals or ethics, hence all the baby momas out of wedlock. His ego couldn’t take it—finally, a woman was not going for the crap he’s been getting away w/ from low self-esteem women.
@Mika, I had to go back and listen to the interview again. I see what you mean by the shade now. I guess I overlooked it initially, because he did make some positive comments, like when he said that Ciara was his best friend. I saw Ciara’s tweets too, that were clearly a response to his interview, and maybe he wasn’t as genuine as I thought! Lol
Future is lying, and letting his ignorant ego get in the way. He’s jealous because she’s dating Russell. He thought Ciara was going to be like those other baby momas and allow him to cheat, but still stay with him. Unlike the other mothers Ciara doesn’t depend on his income to support her livelihood, and her self-esteem is higher than the others. She left him, and he knows it. He’s trying to make her sound superficial, and he’s only making himself look bad. He was in shock when she left him, and move to Cali with the baby. That’s why he’s back w/ the other baby moma who lacks self-respect and self-love because he knows he can get away with it with her.
I think the same thing.Hes trying to clown her because she upgraded.I bet she was his upgrade.If he thought about his son he wouldnt be trying to disrespect his mother.He should take a hint from Ciara and Russell.He should abstain from sex for a while,after all hes been having enough unprotected sex.
Relationships and break-ups are hard on us regular folks. It’s only fair to think that folks in the public eye may just have it much worse. I do agree with the comments about celebs keeping their romantic relationship biz off social media. Even if they are baited with false “news” reports, don’t give anything up. I also believe in Non-disclosure agreements upfront for folks that want to keep certain “details” from being “leaked”. Just sayin…he really could have kept the comment about their sex life…*sigh*
