(EXCLUSIVE) Dennis Rodman Accused of Not Paying Rent For Over A Decade
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, ex NBA star Dennis Rodman has blown blew off a $87k judgement for years – which he was hit with years ago for unpaid rent & damage related to his now-closed Orange County restaurant – and the company who sued has returned to court demanding the judge order him to finally pay up on the debt that has now grown to over $180k due to interest.
Here’s the latest: On June 3rd, the company returned to court filing a new suit explaining Rodman and the other defendants have yet to pay a dime on the $87k judgement they won back in 2006.
The company says interest in the amount of $88,329.45 has incurred over the years and now costs in the amount of $4,407.07 for a grand total of $180,217.06.
G.P. Enterprises is demanding the judge order the ex-NBA star finally pay the money he owes. Further, the amount will continue to rise at the rate of 10% until it’s settled.
Here’s the backstory:
Back in 2005, a company called G.P. Enterprises Group filed suit against the former NBA star and his business partners for breach of contract.
The company rented a property to Rodman in Orange County, California. He ran a restaurant named Josh Slocum, which closed down in 2005, following months of controversy due to fights, complaints and lawsuits stemming from the business. Rodman blew off the lawsuit and never responded to the allegations in the lawsuit.
On May 3rd 2006, the judge awarded a default judgement to G.P. Enterprises Group a total of $80,583.67 for unpaid rent and damages to the property. Rodman was also ordered to pay $2,981.71 for clean-up charges in connection with the abandonment of the premises and $3,011.67 in attorney fees for the plaintiff. He has yet to address the judgement.
