Kanye & Kim Kardashian Using Celebrity To Stay Rent Free in $30 Million Apartment
Using your celebrity for free stuff isn’t necessarily a new concept. Your favorite A and D-Listers pull out their celebrity card all the time, in an effort to not pay for items. And Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are no different. According to a new report, the famous couple are using AirBnB, to try and stay rent free in a $30 million apartment in Manhattan.
[FYI: Last month, it’s rumored that for her birthday Kylie Jenner stayed in a lavish villa in Turks and Caicos — for FREE. We’re told that in exchange, Kylie and her sister (Kendall Jenner) and friends gave them free promo by posting endless Instagram and social media snaps of the crib.]
An Airbnb source actually confirmed KimYe’s potential stay:
The plan would be for Kimye to live there for a few months for free, and Kim will post on social media about the apartment, like her sisters did from Turks and Caicos. Airbnb would pick up the tab for the rent.
Apparently, they’ll be in Manhattan for New York Fashion Week and will use the luxurious spot as a base for his “Saint Pablo” Tour that starts later this month.
A source adds,
Not many of these sellers want to rent to Kimye, as having their names, and Airbnb, attached to such a luxury property won’t help a sale. It isn’t attractive to high-end buyers. Plus, Airbnb is only offering a little more than $150,000 for the entire stay, when most of these places rent for [more than] $100K a month.
Another source says,
Scooter Braun [Kanye’s manager] has people looking at places .?.?. Kanye wants to use New York as the hub for his tour. They have been talking to Airbnb, and hope to decide on an apartment soon.
