Mona Scott-Young Addresses Yandy Smith’s Wedding Controversy

Was Mona Scott-Young left in the dark about Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris wedding controversy? This week, the executive producer of the Love & Hip Hop franchise addressed reports that one of our favorite reality TV couples may not legally be married.

When questioned about the validity of their union and their VH1 wedding special she says,

We all sat there for that wedding special because it was the culmination of the love affair that we had all gone on a ride.

and adds,

It was a beautiful ceremony.

Mona would not provide many details about the couple, but hinted:

Listen, I don’t want to give away too much. I’ll tell you what — Yandy and I have a personal relationship above and beyond the show…I don’t want to give away too much, because a lot of this plays out this season. A lot of times [It’s so funny] when I look at social media [people are like] ‘Mona made that up’, [but] I’m finding stuff out as the cameras are rolling.
