theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Duane Martin reached a settlement in the $170k legal battle – accusing him of illegally broadcasting a Mayweather fight in his restaurant – with an agreement being reached that will dismiss all claims against the actor’s business.
Here’s the latest: Recently, docs were filed in the case explaining Duane’s company and J & J Sports Productions have reached a settlement in the matter that will dismiss all claims against the actors business. Per the deal, the case will be dismissed once it is finalized and the actor will have one less legal issue to worry about. Duane and his wife Tisha Campbell-Martin are currently in the middle of their Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which they filed last year — stating they were drowning in over $15 million in liabilities.
Here’s the backstory: J & J Sports Productions sued the actor and his Xen Restaurant in federal court over an alleged illegal broadcast of Mayweather’s fight.
They explained they were granted the exclusive nationwide commercial distribution rights to the Floyd Mayweather Jr. v. Andre Berto championship fight, which they sub-license to various bars, restaurants, social clubs, casinos, hotels etc.
