EXCLUSIVE: Tyler the Creator & Odd Future Settle Lawsuit Over Unauthorized Music

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, the hip hop group Odd Future and Tyler the Creator (real name Tyler Gregory Okonma) have reached a settlement to dismiss their latest lawsuit. The documents were filed on May 16th and note,

Upon execution of a written settlement agreement, plaintiff will dismiss the entire action as against all defendants.

The group and Tyler were sued by Ubiquity Recordings, who claimed that they stole their music. The 1971 group says that their hit “Why Can’t There Be Love” was used in Tyler and Odd Future’s 2015 song, “Deathcamp.” Ubiquity asked for an injunction and over $750,000 in statutory damages.
