EXCLUSIVE: Adrien Broner Says Sexual Battery Charge By Woman Who Claims He Groped Her In Mall Is ‘Illegal’
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Adrien Broner says the sexual battery charges against him are illegal and he is demanding the case be dropped completely.
Earlier this year, the professional boxer was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery over an alleged incident at an Atlanta mall.
According to court docs, ATL police say a woman claimed Broner inappropriately groped her at the Lenox Square Mall. The boxer denied the allegations, but after cops spoke to all parties they arrested him. He entered a plea of not guilty.
Here’s footage of his arrest.
The alleged victim would later file a civil suit against Broner seeking unspecified damages. The suit is ongoing.
Recently, Broner filed docs in his criminal case demanding the charges against him be dismissed due to them being,
unconstitutional, illegal, unreasonable …
He is also demanding the prosecutors turn over the alleged victim’s entire criminal history, copies of all police reports, all potential witnesses names, any photos or video they have in connected with the investigation, any alleged medical records and other documents relating to the incident. Broner says he needs all of this to build his defense and for the trial to be fair.
Prosecutors have yet to respond to his demands.
