Keyshia Cole Reveals Mother Frankie Has Relapsed: It Breaks My Heart

Singer Keyshia Cole recently shared some unfortunate news with her social media followers. Her mother, Frankie, has relapsed in her long battle with substance abuse. Frankie’s battle with sobriety, along with the strain it put on her relationships with her children, was candidly depicted in the reality shows “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is” and “Frankie and Neffe.” Keyshia shared:

“@keyshiacole This was 2 1/2 years ago. Every time my mom relapse, it breaks my heart more than it’s already been broken. I’m hoping if any of u are dealing with a family member who’s battling with drug addiction, that you, yourself are learning how to cope with the struggle of it all. And all the pain it brings to see a loved one constantly relapsing. See them go back to the streets Because that’s what they’re used to, or would rather be. I really miss you! And will always love u #FrankTheBank”

The last we heard of Frankie, she visited Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court in search of the father of Elite Noel, Keyshia’s sister. During the proceedings, Frankie revealed:

“I could line up five men here. We’re talking 30 years ago and that’s sad. These tears are for none of these people, none of these men, they’re for her. Because no matter what, the test results will hurt, whether they are positive or negative. She still has to live with my mistakes and I’m here to correct it.”

We’re wishing a successful reconnection between Keyshia, her siblings, and Frankie, and a road to sobriety for their mother as well.
