Floyd Mayweather Sr. Sued For Dragging Woman Out Car, Punching Her Multiple Times
Floyd Mayweather Sr. is being sued for punching a woman multiple times stemming from a 2017 incident. Marsha Byrd is the woman who filed charges against the 65-year-old famous father; claiming she suffered severe injuries following the boxing match between Canelo vs. GGG, outside of the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The lawsuit outlines the two were in a verbal altercation which later turned physical; Byrd says Mayweather dragged her out of his vehicle by her legs, after he asked her to remove herself, and refused. She claims he then began to repeatedly punch her with a closed fist. Mayweather Sr. has been charged with assault before.
In January, Byrd slapped Mayweather Sr. with a criminal case, and was found not guilty in June. With this new lawsuit being considered a civil suit, it might not have the same outcome. Since the criminal case was initially filed, the father to renown boxer, Floyd Mayweather, has denied he ever punched Byrd.
Byrd is seeking unspecified damages.
