Tamera Mowry-Housley & Husband Announce Niece Was A Victim At Thousand Oaks Bar Shooting
Tamera Mowry-Housley and husband Adam were searching for their niece in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday after discovering she was at a Southern California bar Wednesday night, where a gunman opened fire, killing 13 people, including himself. While 100s were able to escape to safety, new reports detail Alaina Housely was among the victims of the shooting who were fatally shot.
In a joint statement the couple said,
Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks. Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.
The shooter was an ex-Marine named Ian Long, who walked into the bar around 11:20 PM, with a hoodie launching a smoke bomb then opening fire around at Thousand Oaks’ Borderline Bar & Grill.
“The Real,” where Mowry-Housely is a host, sent a statement via social media,
