Alleged List of Grammy Winners Leaked, Recording Academy Responds: “The list is fake!”
There’s no need to celebrate your faves’ Grammy wins just yet. A list of alleged winners of the Grammy Awards’ most prestigious honors of the night were recently leaked. Twitter user @everyday4you claimed that this information was prematurely leaked to the public on the Recording Academy’s official website, tagging several music and pop culture blogs. The tweet, filled with grammatical errors, read:
“The Grammy has leaked data on the winners of the 2019 award on January 20, 2019 on the official website. This is not a fake or a joke. Pay attention to this”

The alleged list of winners included Cardi B, Chloe x Halle, H.E.R., and Taylor Swift.

2019 Grammy Award nominees
The Recording Academy has since issued a statement, sharing the leaked list of winners are fake. Per NBC LA, their statement reads:
“There is no legitimacy to this. GRAMMY Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony…”

The profile that leaked the information and all of the associated tweets has, of course, deleted its account from Twitter.

Nominees H.E.R., Post Malone, Cardi B, and Janelle Monae are set to perform while 15-time Grammy winner, Alicia Keys, will serve as the host.

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on February 10, 2019 at 8PM EST.
