Phaedra Parks’ Ex-Husband Apollo Nida Will Be Released From Prison Next Year
Great news for Phaedra Parks’ ex-husband, Apollo Nida. He’ll be serving a year less than his original 8-year sentence behind bars, according to reports. Nida was sentenced on July 8, 2014, after he pleaded guilty to charges like conspiracy to commit bank fraud and racketeering. He was able to convince U.S. District Judge Charles A. Pannell, Jr. to lower his sentence to 84 months. If all goes well, Nida will be a free man in August 2020.
And a lot has changed since he went behind bars. At the time, he and Parks were on the brink of their divorce after marrying in 2009. While they filed in 2014, it wasn’t finalized for nearly three years. Parks said back in November 2016 that Nida still communicates with their two sons, Ayden, 8, and Dylan, 5.

“Apollo and I, obviously, are going to be connected through our wonderful children through the rest of our lives. I try to keep him in the loop as much as possible because he obviously is in prison. I’m very cognizant that he wants to be a father… and when he reaches out and calls, we try to make sure there’s an open line of communication with the boys.”
Nida and Parks have also moved on from each other. Nida is reportedly engaged to a woman named Sherien Almufti.
