While congratulations and loved poured in for Cassie and her boyfriend Alex Fine as they announced they’re having a baby girl, fans couldn’t help but think what her ex-boyfriend, Diddy thought of the news. While he’s stayed on silent on social media since her reveal, one insider said he has nothing but positivity for Cassie, who he dated for more than 10 years before breaking up in 2018.

“Diddy wants happiness for Cassie and her new chapter. He wants to be neutral with her, and she will always have a place in his heart.”

They added that the tragic and shocking passing of Diddy’s ex and the mother of three of his children, Kim Porter, plays a factor in his thought process.

“Diddy has changed his perspective on life since the passing of Kim Porter and truly wants everyone to be happy.”

The insider said that Diddy “was not surprised” but still “didn’t think it would happen this fast.”

“Cassie always wanted to have kids, and adored Diddy’s children like they were her own.”

Diddy and Cassie split in 2018, and she revealed her relationship with Fine in December.

They announced their pregnancy on Instagram Wednesday.

Cassie and Fine also said in a joint statement Thursday,

“We couldn’t be more excited and happy to have this little girl come into our lives. We are so blessed.”
