Paul Mooney Cancels Upcoming Appearance Amid Rumors He Molested Richard Pryor’s Son

Is legendary comedian Paul Mooney going into hiding? The 78-year-old was scheduled to MC a show at the Atlanta Comedy Theater featuring comics Pierre, Chastity Washington, Cody Woods, and Shaddy Feel Good.

But fans were shocked when a sign outside of the theater door read:

“ATTENTION!! Paul Mooney is NOT on show tonight due to health reasons. We will transfer purchase to Faizon Love or Donnell Rawlings. Let box office know.”

Paul Mooney’s sudden cancellation comes directly after shocking claims from Richard Pryor‘s longtime bodyguard Rashon Kahn claiming that the comedian sexually assaulted a then-teenaged Richard Pryor, Jr. – resulting in Richard putting a million dollar hit on Paul. Paul vehemently denies the allegation.

A rep for Paul Mooney immediately commented:

“There is no validity to Rashon Kahn’s statement as it relates to Mr. Paul Mooney.”

The comedian’s reps allegedly stated that the rape allegations have “seriously stressed Paul Mooney out,” and that he “needs to lay low for a while.”

In the meantime, the owner of the Atlanta Comedy Theater is offering a full refund for all who purchased tickets to see Paul Mooney.
