Ava DuVernay Calls Out Twitter For Not Including Tyler Perry Studios Opening In Its Twitter Moments, Fans Say Its Response Was ‘Passive Aggressive’
Ava DuVernay has jumped to Tyler Perry’s defense after Twitter failed to include the opening of Tyler Perry Studios in its @TwitterMoments.
While major celebrities were in attendance at the opening, it never popped up in the social media site’s @TwitterMoments, and DuVernay took issue with that.
Dear @TwitterMoments, Am I missing your coverage of @TylerPerry's landmark studio opening? Asking for a friend. Sincerely, @Ava pic.twitter.com/TiIjsvdWmb

After not getting a response, she attempted to go a different route.
Since @TwitterMoments ignored me, let me try @TwitterMovies. Maybe they value the achievement and can walk across the hall or wherever the Twitter people do their things and make something happen. ????? https://t.co/qHGSdLLNGa

@TwitterMovies has since responded and admitted that it dropped the ball. Still, some aren’t necessarily happy about its comment.
