Prayers: Famous Dex Suffers Seizes While Performing On Stage [VIDEO]

Famous Dex (real name Dexter Gore Jr) suffered from a scary seizure during a club performance on Friday (Nov. 1st). Reportedly, the 26-year-old rapper was onstage performing at 1 OAK in West Hollywood when he fainted while club goers looked on in confusion. In a video from the events, a couple of men cradled him while the rapper’s body continued to shake.

Thankfully, Dex was carried backstage for further medical treatment as 9-1-1 dispatcher was alerted. The Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call around 2 a.m. concerning a person having a seizure at a club, according to reports. They arrived on the scene just minutes later but never took the person to the hospital.

Over the weekend (Nov. 3rd), a rep for Dex stated:

“We wish Famous Dex a speedy recovery after his epileptic seizure last night. He is currently in good spirits and hopes to return back to finishing his new album. He thanks all his fans for their prayers and well wishes.”

As previously reported, Dex has battled with drug addiction to marijuana and lean. In 2018, the rapper admitted to spending between $5,000-$10,000 per month on marijuana alone.

“I ain’t gonna lie, I’m addicted to marijuana.I love it.”

In addition to marijuana, Dex was an alleged heavy lean drinker. Back in April of this year, he announced that he’s turning his life around when it comes to the lean and also quitting xanax. He revealed in a deleted Instagram video while crediting his belief in a higher power and his family as inspiration.

“I just wanna thank God. I don’t do xans, the lean. It’s over with, you know what I’m saying? God is good, God is great. I just wanna thank God for everything. I wanna thank my supporters.”

He continues,

“I wanna thank everyone for supporting me, everybody that knows me. God is so good. I’m relaxed, I’m chilling, I’m good, I’m doing it for me and my children. Get right. Dexter. Make the world get better.”
