Dwyane Wade Defends LeBron James After Critics Call Him “Washed Up”
Retired NBA star, Dwyane Wade took to Twitter on Wednesday (Nov. 6th), to address any confusion with his long-term friend and former teammate, LeBron James being labeled as “Washed up,” as he enters into his 17th season. LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers recently ended their first regular season road trip after rallying back from a nearly 20 point deficit against the Chicago Bulls. James tallied 30 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds on Tuesday (Nov. 5th), night in Chicago. In respond to James’ third straight triple-double game, Wade shares his thoughts on the critics on Twitter writing,
“Wait who said LeBron was washed!!???? If 27,8,8 was washed last season where do 99 percent of basketball players sign up??? Y’all need to quit with this click bait news.”

Wade jokingly adds the controversial hashtag,
“#FakeNews”
LeBron also took to his Twitter to knowledge all of the critics prior to carrying the Lakers to six straight wins with hashtag,
“#WashedKing”

As previously reported, LeBron lead the Lakers in a prior game while on the road on Dallas. LeBron’s efforts helped to close out a tough come from behind win, 119-110, scoring 39 points, 12 rebounds and 16 assist. He and rising star Luka Doncic, a second year player from Slovenian, managed to keep up with the 17 season vet, both made NBA history with triple doubles, including at least 15 assist.
LeBron’s only loss this season came from in-town rivals, Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers on opening night. Up next for the Lakers are a pair of home games, including a Friday night showdown with the Miami Heat (5-2) and a Sunday night matchup with the Toronto Raptors (4-2).
