R. Kelly’s Girlfriend Joycelyn Savage Pleads Not Guilty To Assaulting Azriel Clary, Azriel Comments: This Is Tough Love

Details are slowly but surely being revealed about the fight between 24-year-old Joycelyn Savage and 22-year-old Azriel Clary, the remaining girlfriends of disgraced singer, R. Kelly. As we previously reported, Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary engaged in a physical altercation, which was captured while being streamed live on Instagram. In the video, Azriel can be heard telling her former housemate:

“You were sleeping with me as a minor!”

According to the Chicago Tribune, Azriel also hinted at revealing other pieces of information about their time in R. Kelly’s Trump Towers condo:

“The skeletons is coming out, period. You know what? Rob has been lying to all of y’all, and that’s the sad part about it…And he had people like me lying for him.”

It was then that Joycelyn Savage allegedly physically attacked Azrie Clary, in which she pressed charges. Despite objecting to it in the leaked footage, Azriel went to Northwestern Memorial Hospital to treat her facial injuries.

Assistant State’s Attorney Collin Willman says that at the time of the altercation, balloons and a “Welcome Home” sign were present to greet Azriel, who had since left R. Kelly’s condo in Trump Tower to reunite with her family. Azriel seemingly returned to the condo to retrieve the rest of her things, which she reportedly shared from her official Twitter account:

“I woke up today happy but torn, I didn’t come to Chicago for Robert…only for Joy, whom he purposely separated us because he knew I’d try to make her go home. Please pray for Joy, this is just tough love so she can come to her own realization at her own timing.”

Joycelyn Savage was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery, to which she plead not guilty. She was released by Judge Erika Orr on a recognizance bond. Her scheduled court date is in two weeks, according to reports. Azriel Clary says the pending legal issue between she and Joycelyn is “tough love:”

“Joycelyn is sadly in jail for assault, I thank everyone for sending me lots of love and prayers. You all will know everything sooner than later…I just want people to embrace me, love me and forgive me because I’m young.. and I just didn’t know. Please do not crucify me for not being knowledgeable.”

R. Kelly is still being held in a Chicago jail, facing several charges of sexual assault and racketeering.
