Taylor Swift Announces Her Donation To The NAACP Amid The Unrest Surrounding Recent Police Brutality Deaths
Singer Taylor Swift announced via her IG stories that she has made a donation to the NAACP in order to help aid in the fight against racial injustice in the United States. Taylor Swift wrote,
“I’ve made a donation to @naacp_ldf to support their brilliant work in fighting racial injustice. Please swipe up to learn more about the organization and donate if you’re able.”

The singer then encourages her followers to vote in this year’s election, stating,
“It is IMPERATIVE that we make change to our broken system, and you have the option and responsibility to do that by voting.”

Taylor Swift made headlines on May 30 when she called out President Donald Trump after the inflammatory comments he made about protestors in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death.


Taylor Swift tweeted to Donald Trump directly, ending with a statement. In her tweet, Taylor Swift said:
“After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump”
