Pop Smoke’s Posthumous Album Debuts At #1 On The Billboard Charts
Congrats are in order for late rapper Pop Smoke (Real name, Bashar Jackson) and his estate. One week after its release, Pop Smoke’s posthumous album, “Shoot For the Stars, Aim For the Moon” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart. It marks Pop Smoke’s first studio album, his first number one, and the first posthumous number one album since 2018.
The album – which includes features from the likes of 50 Cent and Quavo – racked up a total of 251,000 equivalent sales. The songs on “Shoot For the Stars, Aim For the Moon” have been streamed nearly 270 million times since July 3rd.

Pop Smoke’s Billboard victory comes after new developments in his tragic murder case. He was fatally shot earlier this year while staying at a mansion rental. As previously reported, five people were arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection to the 20-year-old’s death earlier this month.
