Lil Xan Hit With Lawsuit After Pulling Gun On Man Who Confronted Him For Calling Tupac’s Music ‘Boring’
Rapper Lil Xan is reportedly facing a lawsuit after he pulled out a gun on a man who questioned him about his controversial comments about the music of slain rapper Tupac Shakur. The man who is suing him, Anthony Sanchez, recorded their brief exchange at a 7-Eleven gas station in Los Angeles. In an interview in 2018, Lil Xan was asked to rate various topics including cryptocurrency, mini-golf, Drake‘s hit song “God’s Plan,” and of course Tupac. In the video, he gives the deceased rapper and actor a “2” rating and calls his music “boring.”
Not long after this, a number of people—celebrities like Snoop Dogg, T.I., and Waka Flocka Flame included–shared their thoughts on what some perceived as a shocking comment about Tupac‘s musical catalog. Anthony Sanchez apparently shared these thoughts as well and on June 7, 2019, he had the chance to speak to Lil Xan about the comments.
Reportedly, Anthony Sanchez says when he asked Lil Xan about his comment, the discussion appeared to turn violent because he says the rapper took out what appeared to be a gun and pointed it at him. The video that has surfaced of the interaction shows that Anthony called Lil Xan a “b**ch* and this seems to have happened just before the gun was pulled by Lil Xan.
The lawsuit reportedly says that Anthony feared for his life, backed away from the 24-year-old Redlands, CA native, and proceeded to record the incident. Anthony also claims that because of the incident (and his accusation in the court documents saying Lil Xan threw his cup out of the window as he left the gas station and hit him with it), he reportedly is suing for assault and battery, and says he suffered emotional distress following this.
Do you believe Anthony Sanchez’s claims against Lil Xan regarding their 2019 confrontation has any merit? Let us know what you think in the comments!
