Gizelle Bryant Left Cynthia Bailey & Mike Hill’s Wedding After Guests Took Off Their Masks: I Just Got Very Nervous

While Bravo wasn’t filming during “RHOA” star Cynthia Bailey’s wedding earlier this month, some Bravo stars who were in attendance have been giving the behind-the-scenes details of the ceremony.

“The Real Housewives of Potomac” star Gizelle Bryant recently revealed she left early because guests began taking off their masks.

She explained:

“I was very nervous too…When it first started, absolutely everybody had either a shield or a mask on. But then people started eating and drinking, and that’s when it was chaos a little bit.”

She added that she left before the toasts were given and said it was because:

“people started taking their masks off, and I just got very nervous.”

She also said that her ex-husband Jamal Bryant, who she recently started dating again, was also in Atlanta the night of the wedding.

As previously reported, Cynthia Bailey said there were 250 people on the guestlist, including her co-stars Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, and Eva Marcille who were bridesmaids.

She recently spoke on hosting a large wedding in the heat of COVID-19.

“Weddings are stressful. For me, the most stress for Mike and I has just been making sure that we’re not only following the rules and regulations but just also putting people in place to enforce them. We’re having a large wedding. To be honest, everything that we’re doing for our wedding, 10/10/20, we would be doing if we had 50 people there. We would still be doing temperature checks, still be enforcing masks and face shields because, at the end of the day, you can get COVID at anytime, regardless of the amount of people you’re around. Everything is still a go.”

In a separate interview she added that most of her planning went into COVID-19 protocols to ensure the safety of her guests. She added:

“Instead of focusing on the accessories in my hair or what kind of food we’re going to have, Mike and I have been putting most of our wedding energy into COVID-19 protocols. And we ain’t playin’ around.”

“If anyone doesn’t adhere to the rules, then they’re just going to be asked to leave. We’re taking this seriously, we want to protect ourselves and our guests.”

She continued:

“We set up the food stations taking all of this into consideration, and you don’t have to sit at a table with people you don’t know, you can kind of move around. It’s a huge space, so you can be as far away from people as you want while still feeling connected to the ceremony.”
