Ice Cube Turned Down Call With Kamala Harris About His Contract W/ Black America: It Wasn’t Gonna Be Productive
The saga over Ice Cube’s Contract With Black America continues.
The rapper, who has developed a Contract With Black America, was put in the hot seat after a member of Donald Trump’s team revealed that the rapper was working with the president’s administration on a plan for the black community.

After receiving much backlash and becoming a trending topic on social media, Ice Cube said the Democratic and Republican parties previously reached out to him about the contract, but the Democrats allegedly told him it would be addressed after the election.
The co-chair of Joe Biden’s campaign, Congressman Cedric Richmond, denied turning away Ice Cube. Ice Cube stood by his claims and said responded on Twitter and wrote:
“Instead of going back and forth Congressman, please release the Zoom meeting so the world can see what was said by all.”

Now, more details about what took place have been reported as Ice Cube admitted he declined a Zoom call with Vice President candidate Kamala Harris. Other artists like Snoop Dogg and Killer Mike were also reportedly set to be on the call.
He said while on Cocktails With Queens on Fox Soul:
“We have spent a lot of time putting A Contract With Black America together and I just thought that getting on a Zoom call with 12 other entertainers all shooting what they believe needs to be done, to me wasn’t gonna be productive.”

Ice Cube continued and said:
“I was also promised a call [from Kamala Harris] that I never received. That’s why I feel like I didn’t want to be on that Zoom call. So I felt like our plan is so broad that you can’t talk about it with 12 other people who had nothing to do with it… I wanted to have a serious conversation, not just a rally cry conversation.”
He ended with:
“I wanna get things done. I don’t just wanna spin my wheels talking to people who can’t really make it happen.”
