HUD Secretary Ben Carson Tests Positive For COVID-19
It looks like more not-so-good news has come out of the Trump administration. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson, 69, is one of the latest members close to the president’s administration to test positive for the coronavirus. HUD deputy chief of staff Coalter Baker said he
“is in good spirits and feels fortunate to have access to effective therapeutics which aid and markedly speed his recovery.”
Dr. Ben Carson is a member of the White House coronavirus task force but was reportedly seen without a mask during an Oct. 30 Trump rally in Michigan.
This comes on the heels of several White House staffers and close members of the Donald Trump administration testing positive for COVID-19. Recently, Mark Meadows, who is the president’s chief of staff, revealed his infection to a close group of advisors.

The president and White House has been heavily criticized for hosting large gatherings amid the pandemic, one event being called a “super-spreader event” by the country’s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci.
According to the World Health Organization, America has a surge in COVID-19 cases.
