“Sex And The City” Cast Will Make More Than $1 Million Per Episode
The women of “Sex and the City” are reportedly making an impressive check for the upcoming revival. Over the weekend, it was confirmed that a new series, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, was in the works at HBO Max. Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha, will not return to the hit series.
According to reports, the three leading stars will allegedly make more than $1 million per episode. Sarah, Cynthia and Kristin will also serve as executive producers of the new series.
10 half-hour episodes have been ordered and production will begin in late spring.
Sex and the City was a romantic comedy-drama television series created by Darren Star for HBO.
It is an adaptation of Candace Bushnell’s 1997 book of the same name. The series premiered in the United States on June 6, 1998, and concluded on February 22, 2004, with 94 episodes broadcast over six seasons.
The series spawned two feature films, Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010), and a prequel television series commissioned by The CW, The Carrie Diaries (2013–14).
