Kehlani Shares Her Family’s Reaction To News That She’s A Lesbian: We Know, Duh
Singer Kehlani has long identified as bi-sexual/queer and an advocate for the LGBTQ community, but made it clear in 2018,
“Never have I identified as a lesbian. You guys kinda saw me publicly date a woman – which I’ve done before, multiple times, you just haven’t peeped – and ran with it.”
However, earlier this month the 25-year-old mom of one had a change of heart and provided an update on Instagram Live where she confessed:
“You wanna know what’s new about me ? I finally know I’m a lesbian!!!”

Kehlani doubled down on the new revelation in a TikTok video earlier this week, sharing her family’s reaction to her sexuality.
She said in the clip,
“Well, it’s true. I am gay, gay, gay, gay. But my thing is, when I want to have this heart to heart with my family and my friends and I’m like ‘Guys, I finally know that I’m gay. Like I’m gay, gay.’ And they’re like ‘We know. Duh.'”
She continued,
“I want you to fall on the floor and be like ‘*gasp* congratulations, b****. We had no idea!’ Everyone’s just like, ‘Duh. You’re the only one who didn’t know. The closet was glass.'”
She concluded,
“I guess I just wanted y’all to know that everyone knew but me.”
