Pooh Shiesty’s Alleged Shooting Victim Changes His Story, Says He Doesn’t Remember Telling Police Rapper Shot Him
The security guard who initially told police Pooh Shiesty (born Lontrell Denell Williams Jr) shot him in a Miami club has now recanted his story.
The alleged victim is now claiming he doesn’t recall giving police his statement that put the rapper behind bars, according to TMZ.
The legal team for Pooh Shiesty — Bradford Cohen and Saam Zangeneh– sent a motion challenging the alleged victim’s testimony as he’s alleging he had taken Dilaudid, an opioid painkiller, and doesn’t know what he told police.
He added that all of the chaos could have been sparked by an actual fan (not a person) that fell in a parking garage, stating that he doesn’t remember Pooh Shiesty aiming a gun or shooting at him.
He doesn’t want to press charges and no longer wants officials to reach out to him about it. Pooh Shiesty’s lawyers argue that this should at minimum, cause prosecutors to rethink his revoked bond.
The new claims come after the security guard first told police that he tried to escort Pooh Shiesty out of the club when an unknown bystander took money out of the rapper’s pocket. Pooh Shiesty, who had performed at the club that evening, got back on stage, wanting to know who did it. The alleged victim said he spotted a gun in Pooh Shiesty’s waistband and told him to conceal it and not to take it out. That’s when Pooh Shiesty allegedly took out his gun and fired one shot. The security guard said he hopped out of the way, which he believes saved his life as it caused the bullet to hit his ankle.
He said Pooh Shiesty gave someone else the gun and everyone left. Pooh Shiesty fled the state but was later extradited back to Florida and arrested.
He was initially granted $10,000 bail before it was revoked shortly after.
