T-Pain Explains Why He Once Had Beef With Future: I Was The Worst Friend Of All Time
T-Pain is clearing the air on his alleged beef with Future. During his time on the popular podcast Drink Champs, T-Pain, born Faheem Najm, explained the reason for his “problems” with fellow rap star Future, born Nayvadius Wilburn. In February 2013, T-Pain seemingly shaded Future following the release of the music video for the song ‘Bugatti.’ He wrote,
“Funny thing about that Bugatti you woke up in, #ItsMine #OhTheIrony hahahaaaa funny how “the new T-Pain” has to use “The old T-Pain’s” Buggati for his Bugatti hook hahahaaaa yea. So. There’s that.”

While talking about the ‘Bugatti’ drama he said,
“My problem with Future was never a problem. It was Khaled’s problem. When they put out ‘I Woke Up In A New Bugatti,’ they had posted my Bugatti in their sh*t. You know what it was like? When your homeboy got a Tinder date in the apartment, and your homeboy got on your shirt that you use for Tinder Dates.”
He continued,
“If you going on a date, and you ask your homeboy if you can borrow his shirt, and your homeboy shows up to the date and says ‘nice shirt, looks real f*ckin’ familiar.’ That’s how the whole Future beef started. Everybody thinks it was this big thing, that we fought or something. But it was literally — [he] sat in my Bugatti. In my Bugatti. And then you said it was yours. And I told people it wasn’t yours, and that was the end of it.”
He added that despite the small hiccup in their relationship, Future didn’t get mad.
“He didn’t get mad. Future never gets mad…He ignored the whole sh*t.”
“I was the worst friend of all time. Khaled was like ‘Take it back, take the post down.'”
T-Pain paused for a moment before he added,
“I still stand by what I said.”
