Arrest Warrant Issued For Ohio Man Who Attacked MSNBC Reporter In Mississippi
An arrest warrant has been issued for a man who attacked an MSNBC reporter on live TV.
Earlier this week a now-viral video was shared online of NBC news reporter Shaquille Brewster seemingly being attacked by an angry bystander. In the video footage, Shaquille Brewster is in Mississippi as he gives a live broadcast report of how the Ida storm affected the Gulfport area. While giving his report on air, a man, who has recently been identified as Benjamin Dagley of Wooster, Ohio, pulls his truck onto the side of the road and runs towards Shaquille Brewster. The 28-year-old MSNBC news reporter attempted to keep the show running and moved away from Benjamin Dagley’s path. However, Brewster ultimately had to cut his coverage short to defend himself from being harmed by Benjamin Dagley.

According to reports, the police are now looking for Benjamin Dagley. Arrest warrants have been issued for Dagley and he was charged with two counts of simple assault, one count of disturbing the peace and one count of violation of emergency curfew. Police have also revealed that Dagley should have never been in Mississippi because he is on probation for a previous charge in Ohio and is restricted from traveling.
Authorities believe that Dagley is no longer on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is traveling in a white 2016 Ford F150 with the license plate number PJR1745.
Following the incident, Shaquille Brewster shared via Twitter that he and his team were ‘all good.’
