Lil Nas X Creates ‘Baby Registry’ For Charities In Honor Of Upcoming Album ‘Montero’
Lil Nas X is continuing his pregnancy theme with a ‘baby registry’ ahead of his new album, ‘Montero.’
As previously reported, Lil Nas X, 22, announced he was pregnant with his album ‘Monero,’ which is expected to drop on Sept. 17th.

This week (9/7), the ‘Old Town Road’ rapper continued the marketing by informing fans that he has set up a ‘baby registry’ featuring charities that fans and followers can donate to. On Twitter he said,
“Me and my team have set up a “baby registry” for my many charities if you guys would like to donate.”

Each charity is connected to a song on the upcoming album and is directly continued to the organization’s website and social media. Some of the charities listed include Transinclusive Group, The Bail Project, and Compassionate Atlanta.
Lil Nas X has continued with his pregnancy theme desipte the backlash from critics. In his first announcement he used an ultrasound photo and in a recent video on Instagram, he showed himself working out with his ‘baby bump.’

The rapper shared his album art on Twitter, which featured him naked, and sparked controversy almost immediately. Sharing with fans the inspiration behind his cover art, which was a bible scripture, and also said,
“Creating this album has been therapy for me. I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own.”

Lil Nas X also faced criticism for not featuring any black male artist on his album, later tweeting
“maybe a lot of them don’t want to work with me.”

Following the exchange, rapper Kid Cudi said he would work with singer-songwriter replying,
“N**** ill work w u and frolic in rose gardens w u singin about my pain.”
