6ix9ine Accused Of Not Fulfilling Concert Obligation In New Lawsuit, Rapper Allegedly Left Venue Without Performing After Receiving Payment
Did 6ix9ine basically scam an entertainment company out of thousands of dollars?
Controversial rapper 6ix9ine (real name Daniel Hernandez) has recently been hit with a lawsuit filed by a concert promotion company, as reported by Radar Online. In the filing, the “RONDO” rapper is accused of not fulfilling a performance obligation despite accepting payment to do so.
Specifically, JJD Entertainment says 6ix9ine agreed to perform at Houston’s Humble Civic Center this past June, ultimately accepting a total of $120,000 to do so. In addition to this amount, JJD Entertainment also reportedly paid an additional $28,000 for the rapper’s private flight, and various renegotiations allegedly cost the company another $100,000.

However, when June 27th rolled around, 6ix9ine allegedly landed in Texas, retrieved the money, and left the site without performing. This resulted in JJD Entertainment having to refund all tickets, which allegedly cost them $178,000. The unused concert venue also reportedly set the company back another $100,000.
Additionally, JJD Entertainment is also suing 6ix9ine for defamation of character, as the rapper previously claimed he backed out of the performance due to the company’s nonpayment. Specifically, 6ix9ine said he was supposed to be paid $250,000 for the performance, though JJD Entertainment contests this.
It’s currently unclear exactly how much money 6ix9ine is being sued for, and the rapper doesn’t appear to have publicly addressed the matter.
