Ellen’s Top Showrunners Join Team For Jennifer Hudson’s Upcoming Talk Show
Although ” The Ellen Show” has come to an end, the force behind the famed talk show lives to see another day.
According to reports, Jennifer Hudson, newly added EGOT winner, will kick off her new talk show, “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” on Monday (September 12). The show will air in 95% of America and will be led by Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner, and Corey Palent. The trio served as the showrunners for “The Ellen Show,” which recently came to an end after two decades and 22 Daytime Emmy-Award wins.

As previously reported, “The Ellen Show” ended after the famed TV trio was named in reports about an alleged sexual harassment incident, misconduct on set, and a “toxic work culture.” Mary Connelly and Andy Lassner have also signed a deal with Warner Bros. Unscripted TV. Mary Connelly and Andy Lassner will put together unscripted shows for the study.

Singer Jennifer Hudson, 40, Lisa Kasteler Calio, Graehme Morphy and Walter Williams III will be executive producers alongside Connelly and Lassner. “Red Table Talk’s,” Shani Black will be the co-executive producer for “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
In a recent interview, the president of Warner Bros. Unscripted TV stated:
“I’ve worked with Mary, Andy and Corey across multiple shows for the past nine years, and I’m thrilled that we’re able to keep them in the family because they are truly the best in the business. With Jennifer’s incredible talents, and the addition of Lisa, Graehme, Walter and Shani to the producing team, I know this show is going to be fantastic and I’m excited for what’s to come.”
